Notebook of Francis Xavier Ammann, 1908-1911.

The notebook consists of Francis Xavier Ammann's lecture notes from his freshman year of college. The notes are a year-long class on histology with a Dr. Carter. Also included are five mimeograph sheets with questions and instructions for assignments or tests and one is a final exam for his freshman year. In the notebook, there is one small sheet of extra notes.

Francis Xavier Ammann graduated from Los Angeles High School in 1907, attended St. Vincent College but transferred to the University of Southern California in 1911. He graduated in 1912. It is very likely that he interned at the Crocker Street Hospital. Ammann practiced in Los Angeles County for his whole career, excluding service in France during World War I. He died in 1958.
